Thanks to Pia’s Uncle Dan (who happens to be an entomologist) we now have a herd of walking sticks at our house. Most of them will end up at the school across the street as part of a traveling bug cart that Jim and I are putting together, but until then we are having lots of fun playing with them. They are so cool to watch, with their crazy long legs and their two front legs which seem to work as their eyes. Pia has gotten over her initial concerns about them tickling and now loves to let them walk all over her. I’m just waiting until they all end up with names.
