Asparagus with Parmesan Bread Crumbs page 96

5 stars though Pia didn’t eat any of it. In fact, I think all she ate for dinner was mulberries.

I almost cut corners and did exactly what Mr. Bishop said not to do, which was use store bought bread crumbs. But then I located said bread crumbs in the cupboard and found that they had expired in 2008. So I ended up following Mr. Bishop’s orders and made fresh bread crumbs and, indeed, the result was delicious. An excellent side dish. Even if your main course is leftover mac & cheese and baked beans.
