Courtney had the fun idea of getting a picture of our kids together in the same spot every year. I think the idea is to marvel in their rapid growth, but, as we missed 2 full years, it actually had the effect of making my heart stop beating for a moment. How did they get so old?

I’m speechless, stunned into silence by their cuteness (and, once again, by your mad photog skills). I love how in the first picture (2008) Tea and Pia are looking at each other like “who are you and how did we get HERE?” and in 2011 they are laughing it up like they are old friends. Which they are. We are so lucky to have you guys in our lives 🙂

This would be fun to do with the cousins, too. Let’s think of a good place and start. The S-V family at Moon Beach does this at the totem pole each summer, which is also a great idea.
